Suction Valve

CD105: CQL™ Auto Expulsion Valve

Ever wanted to sneak up on someone? This, among other reasons is why our valves are quiet. The CQL™ Auto Expulsion Valve can be retrofit or used with new fabrication tooling for easy installation in new sockets. The built-in auto expulsion quietly expels air all day with no fuss. Patent pending.

• Easy to Clean
• Quiet expulsion
• Low Profile
• Easily retrofits
• Filter to block debris

The CQL features a higher “crack” pressure than most valves, this helps to create a higher level of hypobaric suspension. We have recently reduced the crack pressure slightly to make expulsion easier.

The CQL Valve is attached to sockets using Coyote Quick Adhesive. The fast setting adhesive gets a chemical bond to the base of the valve to ensure a permanent bond, and seal.  Quick Adhesive is sold separately. Click here for more information on the Quick Adhesive.

Suspension Sleeves

Coyote® Design is known for our locks, but we also know that not everyone can be fit with a lock. So we have developed a variety of options to improve your suction sockets, including a quiet valve, a thin sleeve and fast fabrication of the socket.

The thickness of a gel liner combined with the thickness of a knee sleeve doesn’t leave much room for bending the knee. The new Coyote® Suspension Sleeve is extra thin to make flexion easier. It also features antibacterial deodorizing properties, can be washed and even repaired. Haven’t we all seen a sleeve that could use a good wash or a patch? This is an ideal sleeve for compliant patients needing more movement in the knee. All this, and it’s airtight, too.

CD107: Coyote® Suspension Sleeve

Available in 6 sizes (SS, S, M, ML, L, LL) and 2 colors, Beige (BE), and Black (BK). Each sleeve comes with one sleeve protector and one piece of repair tape.

Suspension sleeve available in North America only.

Tech / Fitting Tips

  • The Coyote® Suspension Sleeve can be repaired using the repair tape (included with each sleeve) and a household iron. To repair sleeve, place repair strip in desired location. Place a fabric of your choice over the sleeve and the repair strip to avoid burning sleeve with iron. Lightly iron the repair strip in place.
  • Proximal socket trim line should be as low as possible.
  • Medial and lateral trim lines should be as close to mtp as possible.
  • Anterior trim line should drop approximately 1/2” to 3/4” lower than m-l trim line in a smooth arc.
  • Anterior notch needs to be as low and wide as possible to reduce stress on suspension sleeve in flexion.
  • Socket edges should be smoothed with a tycro cone before sleeve protector is cemented to proximal edge of socket.
